Sometimes, I find that I feel like I am walking against a bunch of waves in the ocean. I walk a little bit in, and then get knocked over by a giant, chilling wave. And again, and again, and again. Few steps forward, one step back. The floor of sand below my feet feels unbalanced, and insecure. The wind pushes me all over, in every direction. And I sense the mystery of the gray ocean ahead.
And just when I think I may fall face first in, and not be able to gain control to get back up, the waves settle. And the wind calms. I am closer to shore, where my feet are grounded. I am comforted by familiar surroundings, and no longer fear the mysteries ahead of me.
