What a beautiful time to be alive! For a moment, I want to talk about some good. Too often the news and media talk about war, violence, scandals...etc. But for right now, let's focus on the wonderful things in our world.
For one, it is a gorgeous day outside. The sun is shining, I have clean air to breathe, fresh water to drink, and a friend to talk to.
The flowers are peaking out from under the dirt, and absorbing the wonderful sunshine. The children are playing on their bikes, and using sidewalk chalk. Adults are out for walks with their friends and spouses. Smiles spread from ear to ear.
What part of your environment make our world a beautiful, and lovely place to be? What makes today be a great time to live? It could even be something you haven't even noticed. Maybe eating a sandwich outside of a local shop, watching people pass by along the sidewalk. Or maybe you go on a walk, and observe the birds chirping, the children laughing, and the beautiful houses along the way.
Certainly living can be challenging, stressful, and sometimes, unbearable. However, if we look around, and observe the little things that make our world beautiful, than maybe...just maybe we can all live a little better. And a more peaceful, beautiful world can start with you.

Why is this week being so awful? Really. I need a vacation. Far away from here.
I would go to England for a little while, hang around in London for a bit, then go North and spend some time in the English Countryside. From there, I would spend a weekend in Ireland or Scotland. Next I would hop down to France, do all the normal touristy things; see the Eifel Tour, check out Notre Dame...etc. I would then head south, to the coast of France and spend a few nights there. After that I would go see Venice. From Venice I go North into Austria. I would spend atleast a month here. A few weeks in Vienna, and a few in Salzburg. From Austria, I go to Germany. While in Germany I visit many locations and places, again spending many weeks here. From Germany, I take a weekend adventure to Poland. From Poland, I will go North to Norway, Sweden, and Finland. Finally, I would come down to the Netherlandschecking out Amsterdamn and finally, Belgium.
Someday.
Wouldnt that be nice? Ahhhh...

Do you ever feel like you have huge bricks attatched at your ankles, and you just drag them along everywhere you are going? And you need to keep up the pace, even though you have 100 lbs of concrete attatched to you? Yeah. That's how I am feeling this week. That something simple, like walking, is incredibly challenging. I cant relax. My Yoga teacher explains to our class every single week that relaxation is a skill, and it is a process. She also says that after we recognize that relaxing is difficult, are rare, that acception of this is the next step. But, I don't want to accept this. I want to be able to let go of the bricks, and be able to function!! ( Is that so much to ask?)
I look like Sweeny Todd ( never a good sign)- crazy hair, big dark circles under my eyes....the works.
Im exhausted. Im sick. I am sleep deprived. Even when I am sleeping, and I have REM sleep, my dreams are just as active and stressful as my daily life.
So, what do we do when it seems you can't slow down...? Like one of those bad western movies where the train wont stop and is about to go off a giant cliff! .....I have no idea. But if any of you know, please, feel free to shout it out.
If I wasnt so stressed and busy, what would I be doing with my time, you ask?
Well, for starters, I would start a ton of extra-credit projects.
Secondly, I would spend some quality bonding time with my horn and keyboard.
And, thirdly, I would take a bubble bath, listen to Mozart, and day dream of Europe.
