Yes, it would, in fact, be easier for me to pick up my life and go somewhere for walking/cycling friendly atmosphere.
Yes, the automobile was a great tool to get someone from point A to point B, but seriously, I am just sick of it. There is so much pressure to drive. What if I don't want to? What if I cant afford it? What if I think it is bad for the environment?
Why is it so difficult for some people to understand that there are people out there, who don't wish to drive. Why aren't there more bicycle paths in towns? Why don't we encourage folks to walk and ride their bikes to work/school? THIS is the real reason why so many Americans are over weight. It is because we aren't encouraged to move.
And, just because I don't have a car, and I don't drive doesn't make me immature.
I know PLENTY of young adults who drive, who are the biggest punks to walk this Earth.
Also, I have MADE these decisions. Just like I have MADE the decision to not drink alcohol.
It does not make me less of an adult.
So, really, what I want to say is:
"Fuck off" if you think I am less of an adult because of my decision to not drive and drink.
Yeah. That felt good.
