"When I was little.." vs. "I am 20, going on 21"

"When I was little"

I wanted to be a singer.

Julie Andrews was my God.

My favorite movies were The Sound of Music and My Fair Lady.

I loved giving my friends singing lessons. Note: When the move "Titanic" came out, I sang the theme song as an example to my friends on how to sing. -ha!

My American Girl doll, Molly, was one of my best friends. Other friends included my Grandmother, Mother, my friend Chelsy, and my neighbor Taylor.

Two of my favorite computer games was "Barbie Magic Hairstyler" and "Jump Start: 5th grade" ( even though I was probably no older than 7 when I was playing it).

"I am 20, going on 21"

While I am not a professional singer, I do sing a good amount. I have a voice teacher, and I practice often. Now, I am an Early Childhood Education major, and work in a preschool part time.

Julie Andrews is so inspiring to me, and is still God to me.

My favorite movie is The Sound of Music. Other favorites include; Shakespeare in Love, Singin' in the Rain, Moulin Rouge and The Phantom of the Opera.

Rather than teaching just my friends how to sing and enjoy music, I now have taught preschoolers, elementary students, as well as kids and young adults with various disabilities.

I still have Molly, and another American Girl doll named Samantha. They sit on a shelf in my bedroom. I change their clothes to match the seasons. My best friends are Greg, Taylor and Sam. My Gram and Mom are people I could not live without.

Do they even make computer games anymore? If I'm on the computer, it is usually dedicated to Facebook, checking e-mail, or googling random things. And looking up funny stuff on Wikipedia.
